Springvandet is a metal and glass fountain set in Amaliehaven, a small park along the waterfront in Copenhagen. Water moves gently through the structure while trees and benches surround it on all sides.
Amaliehaven, the park surrounding the fountain, was laid out in the 1960s as a gift from the Danish-American Society to the city of Copenhagen. The fountain itself was designed by Italian artist Arnaldo Pomodoro, who is known for his modern sculptural work.
