Copenhagen Admiral Hotel occupies a renovated 18th-century warehouse building along the Inner Harbour with thick wooden beams and exposed brick throughout its interior. The structure spans six levels containing 366 rooms, with accommodations offering views toward either the Opera House or Amalienborg Palace.
The building started as two separate warehouses in 1781 for a trading company and was combined into one structure in 1885. Its later conversion from storage space to hotel transformed it into a modern accommodation while maintaining its protected heritage status.
The building maintains visual connections to its maritime past through its thick wooden structure and harbour-facing position. Visitors walking through can sense the merchant history embedded in the exposed materials and layout.
The hotel sits prominently along the waterfront and is easily accessible on foot from surrounding neighborhoods. Its position allows direct access to the water and nearby cultural attractions like the Opera House.
The building retains original Pomeranian pine joists from the 18th century as a structural element, making it a rare example of preserved shipbuilding timber craftsmanship. These centuries-old wooden features remain visible throughout the space and form an integral part of the guest experience.
