Happy Blue Tea, Tea shop in the 20th arrondissement, Paris, France
Happy Blue Tea is a tea shop on rue des Pyrénées in the Gambetta neighborhood of Paris's 20th arrondissement. It sells teas sourced directly from producers around the world, original in-house blends, and ceramic tea accessories made by local artisans.
The space on rue des Pyrénées was previously an upscale grocery store before being taken over and turned into a tea shop. Fanny and Victoria, two young women from the 20th arrondissement, opened Happy Blue Tea together after meeting at school.
The owners work with an aromaticist to create their own tea blends, sold in decorative boxes. One of them is called 'Lui Gambetta,' a rose and jasmine mix named after the neighborhood itself.
The shop is easy to find on a busy stretch of rue des Pyrénées and can be reached on foot from the Gambetta metro stop. It is open Tuesday through Saturday and on Sunday mornings, making it convenient for a stop during a walk in the neighborhood.
Visitors can order tea to go, including a matcha latte or a genmaicha brewed with rice flour, for around 3 euros. The owners also prepare tea-infused snacks like cookies and pancakes in their kitchen, with plans to put them on sale soon.
