Estévez Lanterns, Interior decorations shop in Centro, Granada, Spain
Lampes Estévez is an interior decorations shop and workshop in the Centro neighborhood of Granada, Spain, located on Calle Buensuceso. The shop produces and sells handmade lamps and lanterns crafted from colored glass, brass, copper, and tin sheet.
The business was founded in 1911 by the Estévez family and has operated continuously since then, passing its craft from one generation to the next. More than four generations have kept the original techniques and designs alive.
Lampes Estévez makes lamps and lanterns whose geometric patterns draw directly from the Alhambra, the palace complex that has shaped Granada's visual identity for centuries. The cut glass and tin shapes echo the arches and ornamental details found throughout Moorish architecture in the city.
The shop accepts visits by appointment, which is recommended if you want to see the workshop and discuss custom pieces. Orders can be placed in person, as each lamp or lantern can be tailored to size and color.
Over the years, the workshop has made lanterns for the Andalusian Parliament and the Granada city hall. Every piece carries a mark certifying its handcrafted origin, and no two pieces are identical.
