The potters of the neighborhood, Pottery studio in Montreuil, France
Les potiers du quartier is a pottery studio in central Montreuil, near Paris, offering classes in hand-building and wheel-throwing for children and adults. The space is run by two resident potters, Caroline and Gaëtan, who also create their own work there.
Caroline and Gaëtan founded the studio with the aim of creating an open space rooted in the life of their Montreuil neighborhood. From the start, they combined their own pottery practice with teaching and local involvement.
The studio is easy to reach from the Robespierre and Nation metro stations, both within a short walk. Classes and workshops run throughout the year, including summer sessions, and some are offered in English.
A large street-facing window lets passersby watch the potters at work without stepping inside. The studio opens directly onto the Place de la République square, making it a visible part of everyday neighborhood life.
