Leisure center at Port-aux-Cerises, Outdoor leisure park in Draveil, France
The Base de loisirs du Port-aux-Cerises is an outdoor leisure park in Draveil, south of Paris, covering woods, ponds, and open meadows. It offers water activities such as kayaking and sailing, as well as land-based options like a ropes course, minigolf, and play areas for children.
The site was created as part of a regional effort to provide outdoor recreation areas for people living near Paris. Over time it grew into one of the most visited day-trip destinations in the Essonne department.
Entry to the park and parking are free, which makes it easy to plan a visit without much preparation. For people with reduced mobility, the site has ramps and a small train that covers part of the grounds.
The site was named the top tourist destination in the Essonne department in 2011, ahead of better-known spots in the area. It also hosts a theater festival held on nearby leisure islands, which has been running for over a decade.
