Vinet Garden, Garden in the Saint-Pierre neighborhood, Bordeaux, France
The Jardin de Vinet is a small garden tucked into a quiet side street in Bordeaux's Saint-Pierre neighborhood. It has benches, a children's play area, and a green plant wall running along roughly 330 feet (100 meters) of the space.
The garden was renovated in recent years, giving it its current layout, including the plant wall. Before that work, the space was a little-used gap in the dense fabric of the Saint-Pierre district.
The garden is easy to walk past without noticing, as it sits in a low-traffic lane. It works well as a short stop during a walk through the Saint-Pierre district.
The plant wall was designed by landscape architect Michel Desvignes, who combined different plant species so that the wall changes its look with each season. This detail makes each visit feel a little different from the last.
