Dürrbachklinge is a hiking trail in the eastern forests of Stuttgart, running through a narrow wooded gorge carved by the Dürrbach stream. The route follows the edge of the gorge, crosses a wooden bridge over the stream, passes a small dam and a pond, and loops back to the starting point.
The forest around the gorge sits on a type of sandstone called Stubensandstein, which shaped the landscape over time as the water carved its way through the rock. The stream and its surroundings are now part of a protected natural area that covers forests and valleys in the eastern part of Stuttgart.
The trail is popular with Stuttgart families who use it for short outings into the woods. At Dürrbachsee, there is a simple grill area where people gather for a picnic after the walk.
The trail starts at the Waldebene Ost parking lot, which can also be reached by streetcar from the city center. The path is a marked loop and does not require special gear, though sturdy footwear is a good idea on the forest sections.
