Morlaixplatz is a public square and pedestrian zone in the center of Würselen, Germany, located directly in front of the town hall. It is bordered by shops, cafes, and small businesses that give the area its everyday character.
The square was named after the Breton town of Morlaix following the start of a twinning relationship between Würselen and the French city in the early 1970s. Würselen was later recognized by the Council of Europe for this cross-border commitment, receiving the Europe Diploma.

In 1986, teams from both partner towns ran a relay race covering nearly 900 kilometers between Morlaix and Würselen in over 70 hours. This single event shows just how far the two towns were willing to go, quite literally, to mark their friendship.
