Nebílovy Castle, Baroque château in Nebílovy, Czech Republic
Nebílovy Castle is a baroque residence situated in the Czech countryside south of Plzeň. The complex consists of two buildings linked by arcaded corridors and terraces that create a unified composition.
The original Renaissance manor was transformed into its current baroque form through the work of architect Jakub Auguston. The designs were created by the renowned baroque architect Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt.
The castle displays typical baroque features with its symmetrical layout and ornamental details visible throughout the design. The connected buildings and arcaded walkways reflect how the nobility wanted to live in the 18th century.
The grounds are open year-round, allowing visitors to explore the buildings and grounds at their own pace. Its location in flat Czech countryside makes it straightforward to reach when traveling from nearby Plzeň.
Skilled craftsmen V. Haberditz and J. L. Palliardi carried out extensive restoration work in later centuries. Their contributions shaped much of what visitors see at the site today.
