Dolský Mlýn, Historic watermill ruins in Kamenická Stráň, Czech Republic
The stone remains of this old mill stand at the convergence of the Kamenice and Jetrichovicka Bela rivers in the National Park České Švýcarsko.
Built in 1515, the three-wheeled mill operated continuously until 1910, with a major reconstruction in 1727 as evidenced by the carved date on sandstone door frames.
The mill site gained recognition in Czech cinema when it served as a filming location for the 1952 fairy tale movie 'Proud Princess' and other productions.
Visitors can reach the ruins by following a 3-kilometer yellow-marked hiking trail from Jetrichovice or taking a 2-kilometer path along the Kamenice River from Vysoka Lipa.
The mill owners received brewing and distilling rights in 1814 as compensation for income losses during timber floating activities on the river.
