Dolský Mlýn

Dolský Mlýn is the ruins of an old mill standing where the Kamenice and Jetrichovicka Bela rivers meet, in the heart of the České Švýcarsko National Park. The remains show stone masonry and sandstone door frames with carved dates marking different construction phases of the building.

The mill was founded in 1515 and operated continuously until 1910, with a major renovation taking place in 1727. This transformation reflected the need to adapt the structure to changing operational demands.

The site held importance for Czech cinema as a backdrop for films and other artistic productions. Visitors can sense this cultural connection while standing among the remaining structures.

You can reach the ruins by following marked hiking paths from nearby towns like Jetrichovice or along the Kamenice River from other starting points. The walk goes through the national park landscape, so wear sturdy shoes and bring weather protection.

The owner received brewing and distilling rights in 1814 as compensation for income losses from timber floating operations on the river. These privileges show how closely the mill was tied to river use and local economic practices.
