The Courtship Hunting Lodges

The Courtship Hunting Lodges form a complex of timber buildings nestled within the České Švýcarsko National Park, surrounded by dense forests and distinctive rock formations. The site comprises several traditional structures that maintain the appearance and function of a historic forester's estate.

The lodges developed as a practical center for forestry and hunting activities in this heavily forested region, becoming an established part of local history over generations. Official recognition as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic came in 1966.

The lodges are best reached on foot via the hiking trails in the area, particularly the Doubice Loop, which offers a well-marked route through the forests. Visitors looking to avoid steep or technically demanding sections can take alternative paths that bypass the more challenging stone steps.
