Military museum Lešany

Military Museum Lešany is a repository of historical military vehicles in the Czech Republic, with over 700 exhibits spread across ten indoor halls and outdoor grounds. The collection includes tanks, cannons, motorcycles, armored vehicles, and other transport from various time periods.

The facility was founded in 1996 and preserves vehicles with histories reaching back to 1890. Through the collection, one can trace how military technology evolved during both World Wars and the years that followed.

The collection shows vehicles that played roles in defense efforts, offering insight into how the nation approached military technology over time. Walking through the halls, you notice how machinery and equipment changed across different periods.

The museum opens Wednesday through Sunday, with hours varying by season. Plan for sufficient time to explore the full collection, particularly if you intend to visit all outdoor sections as well.

The collection holds several rare three-axle vehicles, including models from PRAGA, ŠKODA, and TATRA, found nowhere else in the world. These particular transport machines come from an era when such constructions were still being manufactured.
