Lázně Bělohrad

Lázně Bělohrad is a spa town nestled in a valley surrounded by the Chlumy hills and Stone Mountain, with the Javorka river running through it. The settlement sits at about 291 meters elevation and is bordered by forested areas that frame its location.

The settlement started in 1354 as Nová Ves and gained a white stone fortress in 1556 that led to its current name, Bělohrad. This moment marked the transition from a simple village to a fortified settlement of greater importance.
