Valašské Klobouky is a municipality with market town status in Zlín District, located in a valley between the White Carpathians and Vizovice Highlands. The Klobučka River runs through its center at approximately 449 meters in elevation, and it comprises three administrative parts called Lipina, Mirošov, and Smolina.
First recorded in 1341, the town received market privileges in 1356 and was granted full city rights in the 16th century. These milestones transformed it from a small settlement into an important administrative and commercial center.
