Church of St. Giles, Baroque church in Svitavy-předměstí, Czech Republic.
The Church of St. Giles features a monumental three-aisled structure built upon foundations dating from the 14th century Romanesque period.
The church received official consecration on May 4, 1371, in the presence of King Charles IV, marking a significant moment in regional architecture.
The interior ceiling displays detailed frescoes created by Wenzel Lorenz Reiner, whose remains rest within the church near the altar of St. Vincent.
Visitors can attend daily masses in Czech at 18:30, with additional services in French and Polish offered on Sundays throughout the year.
The Dominican order has maintained continuous service at this church since 1625, operating both the religious building and its adjacent monastery complex.
