Hazlov Castle, Medieval château in Hazlov, Czech Republic
Hazlov Castle is a stone fortification in the municipality of Hazlov with architectural features from multiple building periods. The structure shows how the building was expanded and modified over the course of several centuries.
The fortress was founded in 1224 and initially belonged to the noble house of Haslau under Bedrich of Hazlov. In the late 15th century, the Landwüst family carried out necessary repairs to maintain the structure.
The château earned designation as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic in 1996, preserving its historical value for future generations.
The castle is not open to visitors and can only be viewed from outside through the public areas surrounding the municipality. It is possible to see the outer walls and general shape from the surrounding landscape.
The Landwüst family conducted repairs on the castle during the late 15th century, maintaining its structural integrity through medieval craftsmanship.
