Mezivrata, Summit in Central Bohemian Region, Czech Republic
Mezivrata is a hilltop in the Benešov District that rises to 713 meters above sea level. A lattice radio tower from 1989 stands on the summit and broadcasts signals across the region.
The area was first documented in 1186 when a nearby settlement received mention in written records. This early reference shows that the region has been inhabited since medieval times.
Local communities organize regular educational trips to Mezivrata to teach students about environmental conservation and natural sciences through direct observation.
Several hiking trails of different difficulty levels provide access to the summit, allowing visitors to choose a route that matches their fitness level. The trails are straightforward and can be managed within a couple of hours depending on your pace.
