Jezeří Castle

Jezeří Castle is a fortress with Gothic and Baroque architectural styles located in Horní Jiřetín in the Czech Republic, positioned on a hillside in the Most region. The building follows an H-shaped plan with a distinctive Theatre Hall that occupies a central role within the structure.

The fortress was originally built in the 14th century with Gothic features, later underwent Renaissance modifications, and eventually became a Baroque residence under the Lobkowicz family. These transformations trace the changing architectural preferences across several centuries of ownership.

The place served as a musical venue where compositions by notable composers echoed through its theater during the early 1800s. This reflects the aristocratic taste for artistic performances that shaped the castle's cultural role.
