The castle combines Renaissance and Baroque architectural elements, featuring decorated arcades, stucco halls, and mythological frescoes throughout its multiple floors.
The estate changed ownership multiple times from 1501, beginning with Jan Černčický, through noble families including Pernštejn, Stubenberg, and Leslie, until the Bartoň family acquired it in 1908.
The castle maintains an art-nouveau kitchen that once served President Masaryk, along with period furnishings and decorative elements designed by architect Dušan Jurkovič.
The castle offers guided tours of its interior, accommodation in castle suites, and access to terraced gardens with stone sculptures and seasonal exhibitions.
The castle remains a private residence of the Bartoň-Dobenín family who continue to manage and preserve this national cultural monument while keeping it open to visitors.
