Castle in Velké Losiny, Renaissance château in Velké Losiny, Czech Republic
The three-winged castle features arcade galleries surrounding a central courtyard, with an octagonal tower rising from the structure's center.
Built between 1567 and 1589 by Jan the Younger of Zierotin, the castle replaced an earlier Gothic fortress on the same location.
The knight's hall contains a Renaissance coffered ceiling, while the chapel displays frescoes created by Johann Christoph Handke in the 18th century.
The castle receives over 30,000 visitors annually and maintains regular guided tours through its Renaissance and Baroque architectural sections.
Between 1678 and 1692, the castle became the center of significant witch trials conducted under the supervision of Heinrich Franz Boblig.
