Počátky, Historic municipality in Pelhřimov District, Czech Republic.
Located at an elevation of 620 meters, Počátky extends across both sides of the historical border between Bohemia and Moravia regions.
The settlement originated in 1289 as a market village, later acquired by Vítek of Švábenice through marriage to Perchta of Kralovany.
The town maintains a museum established in 1892, housing regional artifacts, ethnographic collections, and numismatic items from different periods.
Several facilities serve the population of 2,500 residents, including educational institutions, medical services, and local administrative offices.
The Svatá Kateřina Spa, constructed in the early 1900s, features natural healing springs that attracted visitors from surrounding regions.
