Úštěk Synagogue

Úštěk Synagogue is a sandstone structure displaying classical architectural style with traditional religious design features from the late 18th century. The building shows characteristic elements typical of Jewish prayer houses from this period.

A fire destroyed the previous synagogue building, prompting the Jewish community to construct this new one between 1791 and 1794. The structure then served the community as their prayer house until World War II.

The building now houses a Jewish museum displaying the history and life of the community that once lived in this region. Visitors can learn about the traditions and daily experiences of the people who gathered here for centuries.
