Construction started in 1673 under Jesuit guidance and was completed in 1752, representing a lengthy building process. A chapel dedicated to Saint Barbara was finished in 1711, adding another layer to the complex.
The interior features paintings by Petr Brandl depicting Saint Theresa and the Holy Family alongside sculptures by Matěj Václav Jäckel. These artworks shaped the spiritual atmosphere of the church during the Baroque period.
