The underground tunnel extends 460 meters in length with additional passages reaching a total of 640 meters through Proterozoic rock formations.
Established in 1781, the mine operated until the early 20th century, extracting silver-bearing galena and chalcopyrite along with sphalerite and arsenopyrite.
The mine includes a section called 'kaple' and represents the mining traditions of the Děčín District in the Ústí nad Labem Region.
Visitors can access the mine from May through October, Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 16:00, with the entrance located 700 meters west of the bus stop.
The tunnel contains a small underground lake and mineral deposits that display the geological characteristics of the region's 650-million-year-old phylitic greywacke.
