Stromovka

Stromovka is an expansive park in České Budějovice with a network of paths winding through diverse tree collections and open green spaces. The grounds feature mature oak, beech, maple, and pine trees, along with a central pond and a small island.

The park was created during the 1950s and 1960s through a collaborative effort by local businesses and citizens on the western bank of the Vltava River. This community-driven project transformed the area into the green space it remains today.

The park serves as a gathering place where locals spend time together throughout the year, playing sports and enjoying outdoor activities with friends and family. You will notice people jogging, walking, and socializing in spaces designed for both relaxation and recreation.

The park has multiple access points connected to the cycling route F, making it easy to reach and explore different areas. Visitors will find playgrounds, sports facilities for basketball and volleyball, and an 18-hole disc golf course throughout the grounds.

The central pond with its small island hosts seasonal events throughout the year, creating a quiet focal point within the park. This water feature offers a peaceful contrast to the active sports areas that surround it.
