Synagogue in Boskovice

The synagogue features extensive frescoes with Hebrew texts, floral designs, and painted architectural details across its arches, vaults, and fluted columns.

Constructed in 1639, the synagogue supported a Jewish community of 2,000 residents by the nineteenth century in the narrow lanes of Boskovice's Jewish quarter.

The building now functions as a museum documenting local Jewish heritage and hosts concerts due to its exceptional acoustic properties.

Located on Traplova Street, the synagogue contains exhibits about Jewish history and maintains regular opening hours for visitors throughout the year.

During restoration work in 1988, workers discovered original interior frescoes around the upper women's balcony that remained completely intact.
