Dobročkovské hadce

Dobročkovské hadce is a protected area stretching along a stream with exposed rock formations and marshy meadows in rolling country. The site sits at around 650 meters elevation and includes various habitat types that together create a complex ecological mix.

The site received formal protection in 1992 to safeguard its geological features and ecological systems. This action secured the natural formations for future generations and recognized their scientific value.

Pine trees here grow on rare serpentinite rock and have survived since the last ice age. These trees represent some of the last remaining examples of the region's original plant life.
