Aleje

Aleje is a hunting lodge in Empire style in Jestřebí featuring a central two-story building with an oval hall at its core. Three gamekeeper cottages are connected to the main structure through historic pathways that form a unified complex.

The hunting lodge was built between 1815 and 1817 under Prince Eduard III Collalto's patronage. The Collalto family maintained ownership until 1945, when the property's purpose transformed significantly.

After World War II, the Czech Art Fund repurposed the building as a retreat for artists and added modern touches like crystal chandeliers. These additions shaped the interior for decades and reflect a distinct period in how the site was used.

The lodge sits in a rural setting and can be explored on foot using the forest paths around it. Visitors should know the site has been closed since 2019 and is undergoing extensive renovation work.

Seven historic pathways radiate outward from the lodge in different directions, creating a star-shaped network through the surrounding forest. This distinctive arrangement of trails reflects how the land was organized for hunting and recreation centuries ago.
