Rozhledna Vysoký Kamýk, Observation tower in Všemyslice, Czech Republic

Rozhledna Vysoký Kamýk is a 46-metre steel lattice tower built around a seven-sided brick measuring tower from 1941. Its viewing platform sits 32.85 metres above ground, while three higher platforms at 35.2, 38.3 and 41.4 metres carry T-Mobile transmission equipment.

The site was marked as a trigonometric point in 1864 and underwent several reconstruction phases from a wooden structure in 1931 to recent modernization. This evolution reflects the changing uses of the location for surveying and technical purposes.

The hill's name, Vysoký Kamýk, means "High Kamýk", and the summit lies inside the Velký a Malý Kamýk nature reserve, so the climb passes protected forest. The 1864 first-order trigonometric point is still marked by a 65 cm granite pillar at the top, a detail visitors can look for near the tower.

The tower is accessible via marked hiking trails approaching from different directions toward the site. Visitors should wear sturdy footwear and be prepared for the exposed stairway climb to reach the viewing platform.

The tower has an unusual heptagonal shape that sets it apart from typical round observation structures. This geometric distinction stems from its original purpose as a geodetic surveying point.
