Dlaskův statek

Dlaskův statek is a timber-framed farm museum occupying a fortified courtyard complex with a decorated gable and carved gallery columns. The site includes an original 18th-century barn, stone stables, a relocated granary building, and a 1784 Virgin Mary statue set within beam-enclosed perimeter walls.

The property was built in 1716 as a freeholder's residence and magistrate's house, indicating its elevated status in the region. In 1794, major modifications added stone stables that modernized operations and supported the farm's expanding agricultural activities.

The house displays typical Upper Lusatian architectural features with its ornately decorated gable and carved columns in the courtyard gallery. These craft details reveal how regional building traditions and local prosperity were expressed in the Jizera area.

The museum sits about three kilometers from Turnov and is accessible daily except Mondays from April through December. Travel by car via the E65 road provides convenient access, with seasonal opening hours indicating the best time to visit.

A distinctive feature is the granary building relocated from Malý Rohozec to this location. This relocation demonstrates how historical structures were valued and preserved for future generations.
