Chocholík, Steel observation tower in Drnovice, Czech Republic.

Chocholík is a triangular steel tower located in Drnovice that stands 26 meters tall. A staircase with 144 steps leads visitors to the observation platform positioned at 23 meters above the ground.

The current structure was built in 2011 and replaced a wooden triangulation point that had stood at this location until 1990. This transition from wood to steel represents a modernization of the site for contemporary use.

The tower owes its existence to MUDr. Jaroslav Dvořák, who pushed the town council to approve a new lookout in 2008; the build was carried out in the second half of 2010. The site on the hill above Drnovice had earlier held only a wooden triangulation point, gone before 1990.

The tower stands on Chocholík hill northwest of Drnovice in the Vyškov district. The viewing platform is partly roofed and reached by a spiral staircase of 144 steps; the climb to 23 metres is the only access to the view.

The tower stands on the hill of the same name above Drnovice, where a wooden lookout used as a triangulation point stood until it vanished before 1990. The present tower was built at the initiative of MUDr. Jaroslav Dvořák, and its opening on 1 May 2011 cost 6.4 million CZK.
