Kostel Panny Marie, královny posvátného růžence

The Church of Our Lady, Queen of the Holy Rosary is a Neo-Romanesque building in Ostrava-Hrabuvka with a distinctive tower rising prominently above the neighborhood. The interior contains a main nave, choir area, presbytery, sacristy, baptismal chapel, and related spaces arranged within solid stone walls.

Construction began in 1909 after local residents disagreed with the neighboring settlement about where to place a new place of worship. This founding was a turning point that gave Hrabuvka its own religious center.

The church serves as a gathering place for the Catholic community and shapes the spiritual life of the neighborhood through regular worship and religious celebrations. Locals gather here for both communal events and private moments of reflection.

The building is located on Metodejska Street 1700 and sits in an accessible location within the neighborhood. Interior visits and tower access are only available during special occasions, so it is worth checking ahead about when tours are offered.

The organ inside dates from 1947 and was moved here from a demolished neighboring church dedicated to Saint Joseph. This connection links the present building to an earlier chapter of the area's religious past.
