Kostel Panny Marie, královny posvátného růžence, Neo-Romanesque church in Hrabuvka, Ostrava, Czech Republic

The Church of Our Lady, Queen of the Holy Rosary is a church in Ostrava-Hrabůvka, built from October 1909 and consecrated on 16 October 1910. Its construction was initiated by the Jednota Růžencové Panny Marie, founded in 1908 with support from provost Antonín Cyril Stojan and Hrabová parish priest Antonín Mohapl. A statue of Saint Florian from 1763 once stood in front of the church; it is now on Masaryk Square in Ostrava.

The church arose from a dispute between Hrabová and Hrabůvka residents over the site of a new church. In 1908 Hrabůvka founded the Jednota Růžencové Panny Marie with support from provost Antonín Cyril Stojan and Hrabová pastor Antonín Mohapl. Construction began in October 1909 and the church was consecrated on 16 October 1910; the parish was separated from Hrabová in 1911.

The church serves as a gathering place for the Catholic community and shapes the spiritual life of the neighborhood through regular worship and religious celebrations. Locals gather here for both communal events and private moments of reflection.

The building is located on Metodejska Street 1700 and sits in an accessible location within the neighborhood. Interior visits and tower access are only available during special occasions, so it is worth checking ahead about when tours are offered.

The organ inside dates from 1947 and was moved here from a demolished neighboring church dedicated to Saint Joseph. This connection links the present building to an earlier chapter of the area's religious past.
