Koruna

Koruna is a mountain summit near Božanov rising to about 770 meters, offering wide views across the surrounding countryside of the Königgrätz region. The slopes display distinct rock formations that create natural stepping formations at different elevations.

The peak has carried the German name Ringelkoppe for centuries, reflecting the long presence of German-speaking inhabitants in this Bohemian border region. This naming tradition shows the cultural layering of the area over time.

The summit draws regular hiking groups from surrounding villages who gather here to share the experience and enjoy the view together. These visits reflect how the place is woven into the routine of local outdoor life.

Marked hiking trails approach the summit from several directions, with the easiest starting point directly from Božanov village. Sturdy footwear is recommended as the paths can become slippery in wet conditions.

The slopes feature unusual rock formations that resemble natural steps, creating small flat platforms at several points along the mountainside. These geological features developed through erosion and give the peak its distinctive character.
