Brník, Mountain summit in Central Bohemian Region, Czech Republic.

Buschberg is a mountain summit in the Central Bohemian Region with wooded slopes rising toward the top. From the peak, you can see across the surrounding landscape with its patchwork of forests and fields.

Brník, locally called Bába, forms a pair of peaks with neighbouring Srdov known as Dědek a Bába. The two stand in a northeast–southwest line with Oblík, a trio of solitary hills in the České středohoří. The hill lies within the Oblík – Srdov – Brník Site of Community Importance, 335 hectares protected for xerothermic plants and animals.

Locals call the hill Bába (old woman), and together with neighbouring Srdov it forms a pair known as Dědek a Bába (old man and old woman). The name Brník is also used for the hill itself, and the two peaks are climbed from the villages below.

Several marked trails climb the mountain from different starting points and directions. Visitors can choose a route based on their fitness level and how much time they have available.

The summit is built of an olivine nephelinite vein, and the rock shows columnar jointing and frost-weathered crags and walls. Locals call the paired hill with neighbouring Srdov Dědek a Bába, Grandfather and Grandmother.
