The Portmoneum occupies a two-story family house featuring detailed wall paintings and artistic decorations created by Josef Váchal throughout its interior spaces.
In 1920, Josef Portman invited artist Josef Váchal to decorate the rooms of his house, which later became a museum after restoration efforts in 1991.
Each room within the museum displays different artistic techniques and themes, reflecting the creative collaboration between Josef Portman and Josef Váchal.
The museum opens from Tuesday to Sunday between May and October, with special weekend hours during April and additional programs during Easter holidays.
The museum contains a multimedia exhibition space in the loft and an art studio where visitors can learn about traditional Czech artistic methods.
