The chateau evolved from a medieval Gothic fortress into a Renaissance residence during the architectural transformation period of Czech lands in the 16th century.
The building represents the transition between Gothic military fortifications and Renaissance residential architecture that occurred throughout the South Moravian region.
Located at coordinates 48.9537° N and 17.3761° E, the chateau remains closed to visitors since April 2019 due to its out-of-service status.
The structure maintains original Gothic defensive features while incorporating Renaissance residential elements, demonstrating the architectural evolution of Czech noble residences.
