Schönwald, Neoclassical château in Jinošov, Czech Republic

Schönwald is a two-storey Neoclassical château on a rectangular plan of 36.3 × 19.55 m, standing at the edge of the Jinošov game park about 3 km northeast of Náměšť nad Oslavou. Its facade carries the Haugwitz coat of arms with the Latin inscription "Amicitiae et musis Henricus comes ab Haugwitz. MDCCCXXVII."

A pheasantry with a single-storey building stood here by 1775. In 1795–1798 the Haugwitz family turned the grounds into an English park and the building into a summer residence. Count Heinrich Wilhelm von Haugwitz had it rebuilt in 1826–1829 as a Neoclassical château to plans by Josef Kornhäusel, with small park structures such as the Temple of Silvanus and the Temple of Apollo.

The facade bears the Haugwitz coat of arms with the Latin inscription "Amicitiae et musis Henricus comes ab Haugwitz. MDCCCXXVII", dating the rebuilding to 1827 under Count Heinrich von Haugwitz. The original plan of the park and lodge is kept in the castle library at Náměšť nad Oslavou, hung beside a wall map on the left.

The château is privately owned and not open to the public, so visits are limited to the exterior. It stands at the edge of the Jinošov game park, about 3 km northeast of Náměšť nad Oslavou, near road II/392. The park's 1.5 km of forest paths and two wooden footbridges were restored in 2012.
