The stone château rises among gardens and features architectural elements from the early 19th century, with symmetrical wings extending from a central building.
The Sternberg family acquired the property in 1758 and built a new castle during the early 1800s, replacing the previous structure from 1379.
The Lokšanská library within the château holds the status of being the oldest classical library collection established in the Czech Republic.
Visitors can explore the château through guided tours that include access to the portrait gallery, feasting hall, armory, and surrounding Renaissance gardens.
The castle park, developed by Kaspar Maria von Sternberg, contained rare plant species until 1929 when severe frost caused substantial damage to the collection.
