Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is a Gothic structure featuring three naves and a pentagonal choir in Police nad Metují. The building displays medieval architecture characteristic of the Náchod District and stands out for its solid construction and architectural proportions.

Construction began between 1254 and 1294, with the associated monastery completed in 1306 under guidance from Břevnov Monastery. This Benedictine foundation connected the site to one of Bohemia's major religious institutions.
