Church of Assumption and Saint Mary Magdalene, Catholic pilgrimage church in Chlum Svaté Maří, Czech Republic.

The Church of Assumption and Saint Mary Magdalene is a place of worship built in baroque style located in Chlum Svaté Maří. Its interior and exterior display characteristic baroque decorative elements and architectural features throughout.

A wooden chapel stood here by the late 13th century; the village was first documented on 16 May 1341, and in 1383 the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star were granted land on the hill. A stone church followed around 1400, was damaged by the Hussites in 1429 and enlarged in 1482–1492. In 1687 the parish was raised to a provostry and rebuilt as a baroque complex, consecrated on 11 May 1702.

The pilgrimage site grew around a Gothic Madonna statuette of the Beautiful Style, carved around 1400 and kept in the grace chapel. A reconciliation pilgrimage on 6 June 2022 brought some 150 Sudeten Germans led by Bernd Posselt, closing their association's annual meeting.

The site is administered by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Plzeň and remains open to visitors. You can find it in the Sokolov District and view the church while respecting its active religious use.

The venerated statue is a Gothic seated Madonna with the Christ Child in the Beautiful Style, carved around 1400 and kept in the church. Legend says a journeyman butcher found it in a hazel bush; it repeatedly returned to the spot, so a wooden roof was built over it.
