Letecké muzeum Olomouc, Aviation museum in Koněšín, Czech Republic

Letecké muzeum Koněšín is an aviation museum by the village of Koněšín, about 10 km east of Třebíč, on the grounds of a former radar installation. It opened to visitors in July 2016 after leaving its original Olomouc hangars. The collection focuses on Czechoslovak and Czech school and training aircraft, from Aero L-29 and L-39 jets to MiG-21 fighters and an Il-14FG.

The museum was established in 2009 and later moved to a former radar base adjacent to a military airfield. The collection grew through partnerships with military institutions and the contributions of aviation enthusiasts who gathered these aircraft over time.

The collection reflects the path of aviation development in Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic over several decades. Walking through the outdoor displays shows how flying became part of the region's technical identity.

The outdoor site is accessible in all weather conditions and requires comfortable footwear for walking across the open grounds. Summer visits offer extended daylight and better visibility of the aircraft, while winter visits tend to be quieter with fewer crowds.

The collection holds the only surviving TL-21, a MiG-21 simulator, and one of three remaining D-4 Link Trainers, built for the first generation of British jet fighter pilots. A PCK-53, the first Czechoslovak simulator, was made in Olomouc and is kept in the depository.
