Letná Water Tower, Former water tower in Letná district, Prague, Czech Republic
The six-floor brick building rises 38.3 meters high and features a pyramidal roof with a clock-topped column extension at its summit.
Built in 1888 as part of Prague's water distribution system, the tower operated until 1913 when municipal authorities converted it into residential apartments.
The structure now functions as a cultural center offering workshops, exhibitions, and performances while maintaining its original cast-iron pump for historical documentation.
Visitors can access the tower Tuesday through Thursday and weekends from 14:00 to 18:00, with basic admission at 75 CZK and reduced tickets at 50 CZK.
A Foucault pendulum in the main staircase foyer demonstrates Earth's rotation, while a periscope on the fifth floor reveals Prague's monuments.
