Monerstampejo en Jáchymov

The former mint building exhibits Gothic and Renaissance architectural elements with stone walls, carved portals, and detailed historical features throughout its structure.

The mint operated during the 16th century, producing silver coins called Joachimsthaler, which later influenced the naming of the Thaler and Dollar currencies.

Each exhibition room in the museum presents collections of historical coins, mining artifacts, and documents that showcase the regional monetary development.

The museum, located in the center of Jáchymov, opens daily from April to October and provides guided tours in multiple languages upon reservation.

The building retains original minting equipment and tools from the 1500s, demonstrating the complete process of coin production in medieval Bohemia.
