Liberec Castle is a Neoclassical château in the centre of Liberec, made up of the Redern wing with a mansard roof, the Nostitz wing, and the Neues Schloss, a two-storey building with black stucco decoration and an entrance facing the park. A four-sided tower links the Neues Schloss to the Nostitz wing.

Joachim von Bieberstein bought a burgher's estate here in 1538; Christoph and Melchior von Redern built a Renaissance castle on the site in 1583–1587, probably designed by Marcus Antonio de Lancio. Katharina von Redern added the chapel and bell tower in 1604–1606, and after a 1615 fire Johann Arkan of Zittau rebuilt the Redern wing. The Clam-Gallas family then held the castle, adding the Neoclassical New Castle in 1773–1776.

The Renaissance chapel built by Katharina von Redern in 1604–1606, with its bell tower, is the only part of the castle still used publicly, for wedding ceremonies. The rest of the building, including the glass collection once held here, is closed to visitors; only the park is open.

The castle is not open to the public; only the Renaissance chapel serves as a hall for events such as wedding ceremonies, and the park in front of the Nostitz wing is accessible. The Anifilm festival has been held here for a week each year. The town of Liberec has owned the building since 2024.

The northern bell tower by the chapel is the only tower that survived from the Renaissance castle; the oval bastions and loopholed wall that once enclosed it were pulled down in the 1785–86 rebuild.
