Church of Saint James the Greater

Church of Saint James the Greater is a baroque house of worship in Ruprechtice with a clearly organized facade and window arrangement. Inside, a main altar, side chapels, and a decorated ceiling span above the central nave.

The building rose between 1720 and 1723 as part of regional growth under the involvement of architect Christoph Dientzenhofer. It exemplifies the construction activity of the Bohemian baroque period.

The church is dedicated to an apostle of Jesus whose feast day falls in July. Inside, religious artworks and furnishings reflect the baroque piety and artistic values of 18th-century Czech communities.
