Kostel svatého Mikuláše v Mikulášovicích

Saint Nicholas Church in Mikulášovice is a Baroque structure with a tower dating from 1701 and a spacious central nave. The interior features classic Baroque design elements and houses several artworks throughout its spaces.

The present church was constructed starting in 1743 under priest Anton Erben Schönerben, with architect Zacharias Hoffmann leading the initial design. The Baroque style has remained the defining visual character of the building ever since.

The church is dedicated to Saint Nicholas, a saint particularly venerated in this region and whose name shapes the local community's identity. The religious focus remains visible through the regular worship that continues within its walls.

The organ inside was built in 1901 by the Rieger Brothers organ builders from Krnov and contains more than 2000 pipes. This instrument was among the largest organs in Bohemia and continues to define the sound of worship services.
