Church of Saint Nicholas

The Church of Saint Nicholas features a tall dome reaching 79 meters and contains multiple side chapels arranged around a central nave structure.

Construction of the current building occurred between 1704 and 1755, replacing a Gothic church that stood at this location since the 13th century.

The interior decoration includes detailed frescoes created by artists Jan Lukas Kracker and František Xaver Palko during the 18th century.

The church conducts weekly Catholic masses every Sunday and presents organ concerts from April through October under the Ostrava-Opava Diocese administration.
