Pec pod Sněžkou - Sněžka cableway

The cableway carries passengers from Pec pod Sněžkou to the summit of Mount Sněžka, reaching an elevation of 1,603 meters above sea level.

First inaugurated in 1949, the cableway transported over 7.2 million visitors until 2012, when it underwent a complete modernization with new four-seater cable cars.

The cableway serves as a central connection point for Czech mountain tourism, linking the town to numerous hiking trails across the Krkonoše Mountains.

Operating hours vary by season, with daily service from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM in winter and extended hours until 7:00 PM during summer weekends.

The aerial lift system features detachable four-seater cable cars that disconnect from the main cable when entering stations, enabling smooth boarding procedures.
