The Church of Saint Maurice features a rectangular floor plan with twin towers and stands in the center of Kroměříž at 49.2992 latitude and 17.3911 longitude.
Bishop Bruno von Schauenburg initiated the construction of the Church of Saint Maurice during the second half of the 13th century and was buried beneath the main altar in 1281.
The structure underwent several modifications following damage from both Hussite attacks and the Thirty Years' War, leading to its current architectural composition.
